Berkshire Business Information Center (BBIC)

BIC programs are made possible through local donations from:
TD Banknorth, Berkshire Bank, Greylock Federal Credit Union,
Legacy Banks and Pittsfield Cooperative Bank.

The BIC, formerly co-sponsored by the US Small Business Administration, is located in the Berkshire Enterprises suite and provides high speed internet service, videos, and a reference library of extensive business resources at no charge to the general public. Additionally, Berkshire Enterprises, through the financial support of the local financial institutions listed above, sponsors monthly business breakfasts which address a variety of small business start up and business development topics. These breakfast forums are designed for small business owners and managers and provide a place for owners to meet, network, and gain information vital to their business.

Where Businesses Go to Grow

Berkshire Enterprises administers a small business incubator in downtown Pittsfield. The Pittsfield Enterprise Center offers furnished interim office space for businesses looking for a supportive place to grow, focusing on supporting businesses, providing low cost space, high-speed internet connection, business consulting and shared services. An application process is required for all occupants.

Shared services include: Ongoing consulting, high-speed internet service, shared fax and copy machine,
at a moderate cost.

SCORE
Senior Corps of Retired Executives/Counselors to America's Small Business

SCORE is a non-profit organization founded in 1964 and dedicated to entrepreneurial education and the formation, growth and needs of small business. SCORE is a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration. We have chapters in locations throughout the United States and is staffed with more than 10,500 volunteers who provide face-to-face and email business counseling.

Utilizing many years of cumulative business experience, SCORE counselors, comprised of both working and retired executives, and business owners, provide guidance and insight that money can't buy. Whether your need is with start-up or with problems associated with an established enterprise, SCORE is a helpful resource.
